We aren't afraid to fund new and unproven ideas that have the possibility of making a big impact.
Many traditional institutions have organizational charters that limit the types of grants they can give to mature, predictable, federally-chartered organizations that show measurable results. We have no such charter and are willing to embrace new approaches that may fail, but also may produce spectacular results down the road.
Understanding of Social Movement Theory
We understand how social movements succeed
As former activists and advocates ourselves, we have studied social movement theory and have a unique perspective on what is missing from the movement ecology for animals.
Grants to Individuals
Individuals do not have to be part of tax-deductible organizations
While we prefer giving to 501c(3) tax-deductible organizations, we are not restricted to these. We are open to grants to political 501c(4) organizations as well as individuals who are not affiliated with any organization.
International Flexibility
We can give internationally via bitcoin
We are similarly not restricted to giving in any one country. If your organization is able to accept bitcoin (and either convert it to local currency or spend it directly for expenses), we can give directly using the open, global monetary network of the future.
